Job summary

George Weston Foods is seeking reliable Process Workers to join our production team in Castlemaine on day and afternoon shifts. These are full-time positions offering stable, ongoing employment.

This hands-on role supports production, packaging and quality control in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will assist on the line, operate equipment with full training, handle meat products in a temperature-controlled setting, and follow food safety and workplace procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be available for full-time hours and attend an assessment centre.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia required.
• Able to lift 15-20 kg and stand for extended periods.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, responsible for supporting the production, packaging and quality control of our products

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting on the production line with packing and preparing products
• Operating equipment (full training provided)
• Working with raw and cooked meat products in a temperature-controlled environment
• Completing basic manual handling tasks, including lifting and repetitive movements
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets

About You

We’re looking for reliable team players who are ready to learn. To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
• Be able to stand for long periods during your shift
• Be able to regularly lift items between 15-20kg
• Be comfortable working in chilled temperature rooms
• Be able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
• Work well both independently and as part of a team

You must be available for full-time hours and able to attend a full-day Assessment Centre, which includes a site tour, interview, and pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening. Full on-the-job training is provided
