Job summary

Norfolk Foods is seeking a Process Worker - Batching (Manual Handling) in Coburg, VIC. This casual/full-time role supports our batching team by preparing frozen meat and loading it onto the production line to keep the factory running smoothly.

You’ll start early (4:00am) from Monday to Friday, with a pathway to permanent full-time for the right person. Duties include lifting up to 27 kg, working in a 7°C chilled room, and basic knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Unpack meat from bags and cartons.
• Load meat onto the conveyor for the production line.
• Move bins of product between production areas.

Hands-on work? Join our batching team.

Our Batching team keeps the entire factory running. You’ll prepare the frozen meat and get it onto the line so every production room can operate smoothly. If you’ve worked in warehouse, laboring, or baggage-handling roles, you’ll pick this up quickly.

This is a casual role to start, with the chance to move into a permanent full-time position for the right person.

Two things you need to be comfortable with

• Lifting up to 27 kg, regularly through the shift.
• Working in a chilled room, around 7°C. All PPE supplied.

What you’ll do

• Unpack meat from bags and cartons.
• Load meat onto the conveyor for the production line.
• Move bins of product between production areas.
• Trim meat with a knife when needed.
• Keep your area clean and report any equipment problems to your supervisor.

About you

• Reliable and happy with a 4:00am start, Monday to Friday.
• Able to stand and move for a full shift.
• Basic knife skills, or happy to learn.

Nice to have
