Job summary

Simon George and Sons in Cairns is seeking a Process Worker for our busy warehouse on a permanent part-time basis. You will work across processing areas and cool rooms, handling fresh produce safely and efficiently.

The role involves knife-based prep, picking and packing orders, maintaining hygiene, and following food-safety standards. Sunday to Thursday plus every second Friday. We offer team lunches, a fresh produce box, a birthday day off, and loyalty bonuses.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Process Worker to join our busy Cairns warehouse on a permanent part-time basis.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role working across our processing areas and cool rooms.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Processing fresh produce safely and efficiently, working in chilled cool-room environments
• Picking and packing customer orders using pick lists
• Using knives confidently and correctly for produce preparation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in processing areas
• Following food safety, hygiene and quality standards at all times

What we’re looking for:

• Strong knife skills are essential
• Experience in food production environment or processing environment
• Comfortable working in cool rooms and temperature controlled environments
• High attention to hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
• A good eye for quality and detail
• A reliable team player with a positive attitude

Hours

This is a permanent part-time position, working Sunday to Thursday, plus every second Friday.
