Job summary

NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is seeking a Process Operator at the Pajingo Mine Site to safely operate and maintain our gold processing plant. You will work across crushing, milling, tailings, water management, and other plant operations while supporting safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will use SCADA, perform pre-start checks, and ensure accurate data recording. A class C licence and mining experience are essential, with a strong emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• Current Class C Driver's Licence is required.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining crushing plant equipment.
• Experience operating loaders in a mining or processing environment.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices, hazard identification and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor crushing plant equipment and loader operations.
• Operate plant systems via SCADA to maximise throughput and identify faults.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine operational checks.
• Record plant data, complete sampling activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with plant maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain continuous feed to milling operations and support plant efficiency.
• Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety initiatives.
• Maintain high housekeeping and environmental standards across all work areas.
• Support operations across milling, tailings, water management systems as trained.

Join our Processing team at the Pajingo Mine Site and play a key role in safely operating and maintaining our gold processing plant. We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Process Operator with proven crushing plant experience who is committed to achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and teamwork.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating fixed and mobile processing plant equipment to support efficient plant performance and production outcomes. This hands-on role will see you working across various areas of the processing plant, including crushing, milling, tailings, water management, and plant operations, while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor crushing plant equipment and loader operations.
• Operate plant systems via SCADA to maximise throughput and identify faults.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine operational checks.
• Record plant data, complete sampling activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with plant maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain continuous feed to milling operations and support plant efficiency.
• Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety initiatives.
• Maintain high housekeeping and environmental standards across all work areas.
• Support operations across milling, thickener, leach, adsorption, desorption, tailings, RO plant, and water management systems as trained.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Class C Driver's Licence.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining crushing plant equipment.
• Experience operating loaders in a mining or processing environment.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices, hazard identification, and risk management.
• Experience participating in incident reporting, JSAs, and risk assessments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SCADA systems and process troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical capability to work in a processing plant environment.
