Job summary

PLS is seeking a Process Engineer to join MSDP Operations in the Pilbara on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO. You will deliver day-to-day process engineering support, drive safe and reliable plant performance, and assist with commissioning, start-up and ramp-up activities.

The role requires a degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering and hands-on experience in hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical or chemical processing environments, with a solid grasp of DCS/SCADA systems and plant

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering with process engineering experience.
• Experience in hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical or chemical processing environments.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, process flowsheets, unit operations and control systems (DCS/SCADA).
• Analytical mindset to troubleshoot process issues and drive data-informed improvements.
• Solid knowledge of safety and environmental requirements within mining or chemical processing.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced operational setting.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, this role provides day-to-day process engineering and technical support to the MSDP Operations Team, operating under the direction of the Senior Process Engineer. The role plays a key part in phased commissioning, plant ramp-up, and transition to steady-state operations, working directly with operators, maintainers, and technical personnel to drive safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

This is a 12-month maximum term role which operates on a 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day process engineering support to operations, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable plant performance.
• Support commissioning, start-up and ramp-up activities, capturing lessons learned to optimise performance.

About You
