Job summary

Sedgman Pty Limited, part of the CIMIC Group, is seeking a skilled engineer to deliver high-quality design outputs for mineral processing projects in Perth. You will contribute to piping design and layout, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires a Chemical engineering background, 3+ years in mining-related consultancy, and proficiency in design software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering, (Chemical).
• 3+ years' experience in engineering consultancy working across mineral and mining projects.
• Technical design software skills + MS Office proficiency.
• Clear communicator, proactive and solutions focused.
• A technical understanding of piping design and layout.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering design outputs in line with standards and change management.
• Prepare design packages with drawings, models, and calculations while managing design risks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and continuous improvement.
• Engage with stakeholders through technical support, meetings, and commissioning activities as required.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance design processes and tools.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering design outputs in line with established standards, quality requirements, and change management processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of design packages, including drawings, models, and calculations, while identifying and managing design risks and issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Sedgman to support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders through technical support, project meetings, responses to queries, and commissioning activities as required.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance design processes, tools, and project outcomes.
• A technical understanding of piping design and layout.
