Job summary

Sedgman Prudentia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Minerals Processing Brownfields team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will develop mechanical design solutions from concept to detailed design for clients under the supervision of the Mechanical Team Lead.

Ideal applicants will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), at least 3 years of design/consultancy experience, and strong technical writing and communication skills to contribute to engineering deliverables and project

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and seek guidance where necessary.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Clear and concise technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, engineering scopes and other design documentation
• Perform mechanical and piping design calculations and analysis
• Develop mechanical and piping design concepts
• Liaise with equipment vendors and obtain inputs for the engineering design
• Provide engineering inputs to 3D modelling and 2D drawings
• Perform tasks in accordance with project budgets and schedules

The Opportunity

Due to our sustained growth, we are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Minerals Processing Brownfields team located in Adelaide. If you're a self-motivated, results-driven individual passionate about developing your engineering skills and experience, this role is for you.

This position reports directly to the Mechanical Team Lead and involves developing mechanical design solutions and associated design deliverables on projects from concept through to detailed design for our clients.

Key responsibilities:
