Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is seeking a Process Control Systems Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of PCS in underground coal operations at Ironbark No 1. You'll install, program, integrate and maintain PCS, troubleshooting and driving continuous improvement while partnering with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to optimise plant performance.

This role reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and requires strong problem solving, safety awareness and ability to work under

Qualifications

• Trade or tertiary qualifications with strong PCS knowledge and underground coal mining experience.
• Experience as PCS Engineer with conveyors and longwall PCS systems.
• Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, self-directed and results-focused with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage change.
• Commitment to continuous improvement across safety, reliability, cost and equipment availability.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and collaborate with operations, maintenance and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical expertise across the full lifecycle of PCS from installation, programming and project integration through to maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with operational, maintenance and engineering teams to optimise system performance.
• Drive safe, reliable operation of PCS in underground coal environments.
