Job summary

Maintenance Systems Solutions Pty Ltd seeks an experienced Process Control Specialist to support a developing mineral operation. You will help commission, integrate and optimise control systems, using Schneider M580 PLCs and SCADA, ensuring safe, reliable plant operation.

This is a two-month contract with potential to transition to permanent, offering exposure to modern PLC/SCADA tech and a challenging, fast-paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Unrestricted electrical worker's licence.
• Experience in 24/7 mining or processing environments.
• Experience with Schneider Electric control systems and Plant SCADA (Citect).
• PLC/SCADA programming experience with OEM interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective process control systems, mitigating operational risks to equipment, personnel and the environment.
• Deliver efficient process control services to achieve daily operational excellence and support continuous improvement.
• Provide technical advice to operational teams on plant efficiencies, control system capabilities and improvements.
• Support electrical and instrumentation teams in completing control system tasks, ensuring safe and reliable plant operation.
• Troubleshoot PLC and SCADA systems to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Support the integration, optimisation and ongoing development of process control systems.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Process Control Specialist to support a developing critical minerals operation.

This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of a new mining operation, supporting the commissioning, integration and ongoing optimisation of process control systems.

Working within a modern processing environment utilising Schneider M580 PLCs and SCADA, you will play an important role in ensuring plant control systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
The position is offered on an initial two-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in industrial process control, ideally within mining or mineral processing operations.

Key requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an unrestricted electrical worker's licence.
• Industry experience in a 24/7 mining or processing environment.
• Experience with Schneider Electric control systems, Plant SCADA (Citect).
• Experience in PLC and SCADA programming and interfaces between OEM equipment, including fault finding.
• Knowledge of automated process control techniques and systems.
• Experience in the maintenance of mining and mineral processing plants.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
