Job summary

Carpentaria is seeking a WHS & Emergency Management Coordinator to lead proactive safety and emergency planning across our disability and therapy services. The role partners with operational leaders to identify and control risks, and to verify safety at dispersed sites in real time.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or higher in WHS, has hands-on experience in complex high-risk environments, and can train frontline staff while navigating regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Formal WHS qualification at Diploma level or above.
• Demonstrated experience in WHS specialist or coordinator role within high-risk service environments.
• Good knowledge of WHS Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive WHS and emergency management across Carpentaria, partnering with leaders to identify, assess and control risks in real-time service settings.
• Provide independent on-the-ground verification for dispersed housing and care sites.
