SEEK.COM.AU is seeking an experienced Private Household Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy family residence in Byron Bay. The role includes housekeeping, property coordination, and occasional childcare support to maintain a smooth daily routine.

You will manage cleaning, laundry, maintenance scheduling, and liaise with contractors while ensuring the family’s standards of presentation, discretion and reliability are upheld.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily running of the home, maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation.
• Managing daily cleaning, laundry, linen changes, bed making, guest room preparation and regular deep cleaning.
• Identifying maintenance requirements, coordinating repairs and managing relationships with external contractors, including window cleaners, pool services and handymen.
• Coordinating household maintenance schedules, tracking associated costs and liaising with the family and Accountant regarding expenses.
• Assisting with the children's routines when required, including getting them ready for school and preparing school lunches.
• Supporting the family's household routines, including ensuring the children participate in feeding the farm and family animals and collecting eggs from the chickens.
• Managing food waste for chicken feed or compost and coordinating the harvesting of homegrown produce.
• Monitoring housekeeping equipment and supplies, reporting damage and ensuring the home remains well maintained and efficiently managed.

About You

You are a confident and capable household professional who understands the level of care, attention and discretion required when managing a private residence. You enjoy working independently, take ownership of your responsibilities and have the foresight to identify what needs to be done before being asked.

You may have a background in private household management, premium residential housekeeping, luxury accommodation or hotel operations, with experience coordinating household services and maintaining high standards across a busy home.

You will bring:
