Bartier Perry in Sydney is seeking an Associate to join our high performing Private Clients team. You will work on taxation, superannuation, trusts, estate planning, succession planning and related commercial matters, gaining exposure to technically challenging matters while building trusted adviser relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years PQE in a reputable law or accounting firm.
• Experience in taxation, trusts, superannuation, estate planning, succession planning, private client advisory, or related commercial matters.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercial and pragmatic approach to delivering client outcomes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to outstanding client service.
• Completed, undertaking, or willing to undertake further tax studies.

Responsibilities

• Work on a diverse range of private client matters including taxation, estate planning and wealth advisory.
• Gain exposure to tax disputes, planning and negotiations with relevant authorities.
• Develop trusted adviser relationships with clients and professional referrers.
• Receive mentoring from partners and senior practitioners while increasing autonomy.
