Job summary

Mutual Trust Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager / Manager to join our private client accounting and tax team. You'll manage a varied portfolio, build direct client relationships and drive work from start to finish.

Depending on your level of experience, you may review work, delegate to onshore and offshore staff, and mentor junior team members while collaborating with senior leaders in the Adelaide office.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, jobs and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client-service mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across locations.
• Experience reviewing work and delegating to junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow across client matters from start to finish.
• Delegate work across onshore and offshore team members.
• Review junior staff work and provide feedback.
• Manage deadlines, priorities and progress for a busy portfolio.
• Liaise with senior team members on status and next steps.
• Build relationships with clients and respond to queries.
• Review financial statements and related accounting work.
• Coordinate and review tax returns and compliance work.
• Support and mentor less experienced accountants.
• Manage job budgets, WIP and billing at the appropriate level.
