Job summary

Platypus Print Packaging is seeking a Die-Cut/Packaging Operator to set up and run flatbed die-cutting lines and embellishment equipment. You will follow job tickets, maintain quality, and minimise waste in a busy packaging production environment.

Ideal candidates have trade certification in print/packaging, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams while prioritising safety and GMP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-makereadies to enable efficient job changeovers and minimise downtime.
• Set up and operate flatbed die-cutting and embellishment equipment.
• Set and operate dies, stripping and blanking units for accurate production.
• Follow job tickets and specifications to meet customer and quality requirements.
• Monitor quality during production and adjust as needed.
• Minimise waste while maintaining production efficiency.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and keep equipment in good condition.
• Maintain focus on safety, quality and GMP.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include for Diecutting:

• Completing pre-makereadies to ensure efficient job changeovers and minimise downtime.
• Setting up and operating flatbed die-cutting and embellishment equipment.
• Setting and operating dies, stripping and blanking units to achieve accurate, consistent production.
• Following job tickets, specifications and production instructions to ensure work meets customer and quality requirements.
• Monitoring quality throughout production and making adjustments where required.
• Minimising waste while maintaining production efficiency and output.
• Assisting with scheduled preventative maintenance and keeping equipment in excellent operating condition.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and good manufacturing practices.
