Job summary

KBR’s Melbourne water team is shaping Victoria’s water infrastructure, delivering large-scale plants and pipelines. The Principal Process Engineer will lead detailed design for major water and wastewater facilities, mentor engineers, and manage client relationships while advancing digital engineering initiatives.

You’ll work on projects across the country, with flexible hybrid work arrangements that support safety, collaboration and career development.

Qualifications

• Detailed design experience for water & wastewater treatment plants for major utilities.
• Strong commercial acumen in delivering water infrastructure projects.
• Pragmatic approach to constructable design solutions.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring team members.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design of large water and wastewater treatment plants, showing technical, commercial and people leadership
• Technical adviser across RO, PRW, UV, aerobic and anaerobic digestion - detailed design phases
• Lead investigations, and preparation of technical reports, designs and drawings, contract documents and technical specifications
• Provide guidance to process engineers across the company
• Responsibility for maintaining relationship with clients
• Assisting the Industry Leads in business strategy development
• Lead the preparation of large and small bids
• Promote and practice KBR’s Zero Harm policy
