A government department in Victoria is seeking a Principal Service Designer to enhance services and digital initiatives. The role requires expertise in human-centred design, user research, and journey mapping, alongside collaboration with business analysts. Candidates must be Australian citizens or hold valid work permits, and pre-employment screening will be conducted.
THE ROLE
The Principal Service Designer brings a human-centred design lens to the development of services and digital initiatives across DFFH. This role complements the work of Business Analysts and Strategic Advisors by ensuring that projects are not only technically sound but also effective, inclusive, and sustainable. It also plays a key role in shaping governance around emerging technologies, including AI, ensuring their adoption is safe, ethical, and aligned with whole-of-government policy.
