The Role

As a Principal Recruitment Consultant you will be a trusted partner to some of the world’s most respected mining and industrial companies. This role requires someone who can open client relationships, understand their needs, tailor talent solutions and deliver consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver retained executive search assignments for leadership roles across global mining, materials and industrial clients, from site‑based operational leaders to corporate executives.
• Partner closely with clients to understand their business strategy, culture and leadership needs, ensuring every assignment is delivered with accuracy, transparency and impact.
• Drive research and market mapping activities, identifying and engaging high‑calibre candidates across multiple geographies using a systematic, data‑driven approach.
• Lead structured interview and assessment processes, presenting clear, evidence‑based shortlists and insights that support informed hiring decisions.
• Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with C‑suite and senior stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor on leadership, structure and market trends.
• Business development through relationship building, thought leadership and supporting proposals or client presentations that reflect our values and quality standards.
• Play an active role in strategic growth, helping refine processes, contribute to global projects and enhance Xtrava Group’s reputation as a premium leadership search partner.

Attributes and Qualifications

• Experienced in executive or technical recruitment, ideally within mining, resources, engineering or broader industrial sectors, with a track record of delivering senior‑level search assignments.
• Commercially astute and curious, able to quickly understand complex business environments, organisational structures and leadership requirements.
• Relationship‑driven and credible, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and building trust across multiple levels and regions.
