Job summary

Randstad Pty in Queensland is seeking a Principal Policy Officer to drive the reform and modernization of crane road access. You will transition manual permit processes to automated, network-based pathways and codify complex access rules for system implementation.

You will lead cross-agency consultations, draft ministerial briefs and assess risks to ensure compliant, defensible decisions across state and local road networks.

Qualifications

• Analyses and translates legal and regulatory requirements into policy rules.
• Assesses statutory risk when moving to automated systems.
• Drafts audit-proof decision logs and ministerial briefs.
• Leads cross-agency consultations with regulators and councils.
• Manages complex transport policy in heavy vehicle context.

Responsibilities

• Drive reform and modernization of crane road access in the state.
