Job summary

Queensland Government's National Fire Ant Eradication Program seeks a Principal Operations Coordinator to lead a major field operation across Burleigh and Scenic Rim. You will guide a large workforce, balance safety, delivery, and stakeholder engagement to ensure program milestones are met.

You will translate strategy into practical actions, develop Leaders and work with government, industry and community partners to protect Queensland’s communities and environment from invasive pests.

The National Fire Ant Eradication Program (NFAEP) is Australia's largest eradication initiative and one of the most complex biosecurity programs in the country. With thousands of properties treated each year and a workforce operating across multiple regions, the program delivers a coordinated response to one of the world's most destructive invasive species.You will lead large operational teams delivering one of Australia's largest biosecurity programs. This is a unique opportunity to drive performance, lead leaders and contribute to a nationally significant eradication program that helps protect Queensland's communities, environment and economy.This position will initially be based at Burleigh. Following the transition to our new operational footprint, the position will relocate to Scenic Rim for the remainder of the appointment. Applicants should ensure they can meet the operational requirements of both locations.This opportunity offers the perfect balance of metropolitan convenience and operational impact.
