Versent in Sydney is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – Okta Workflows & OIG to lead a large identity transformation program in the health sector. This hands-on role combines technical leadership with close delivery involvement across discovery, design, development, testing and transition to operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design, build and operate Okta Workflows in complex environments.
• Experience delivering Okta Identity Governance (OIG) or similar IGA solutions.
• Proven ability to automate provisioning and deprovisioning with governance.
• Strong integration skills with HR, AD/Microsoft Entra ID, ITSM and SaaS apps via REST/SCIM.
• Leadership across large programs, guiding delivery teams while staying hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Own current-state and target-state design, implementation, migration and handover.
• Architect, build, test and operate Okta Workflows across joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Deliver auditable OIG capabilities including access requests, approvals and certifications.
• Remediate identity data quality and implement governed integrations using SCIM/REST.
• Ensure privacy, least privilege and auditability; design for resilience and recoverability.
• Mentor teams, establish reusable assets and drive standards for design and testing.
