Job summary

Narracan Primary School in Victoria is seeking a principal to lead planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of education for all students. The role requires strategic thinking, strong management of resources, and active engagement with staff, students and the local community.

The successful candidate will uphold the department's child safe standards and diversity commitments, and will provide clear guidance to the school council and staff to achieve high standards and wellbeing for all

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to supervise and support high-quality teaching and learning.
• Proven ability to lead school improvement planning and evidence-based policy development.
• Experience in resource planning and financial management within a school setting.
• Ability to build a professional learning community focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong relationships with students, families and the local community and capacity to engage in system-wide activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education for all students.
• Be executive officer of the school council and provide advice to the council on educational matters.
• Establish and manage financial systems in line with Department requirements.
• Represent the Department in school and community engagements.
• Implement school council decisions and contribute to policy and strategic planning.
• Coordinate and integrate school resources effectively.
• Involve staff, students and community in policy development and review.
• Report on school achievements to the Department and school community.
