Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Principal Hydraulic Engineer in Adelaide to lead hydraulic design for Defence and secure infrastructure projects. You will guide the development from concept through to construction, focusing on potable water, drainage, stormwater and fire service interfaces.

The role requires extensive experience in hydraulic building services, stakeholder engagement, and delivering complex built environments. Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in hydraulic building services design for defence or government projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex hydraulic networks.
• Strong knowledge of water management, fire services interfaces and NCC/AS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of hydraulic building services for Defence and secure infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical leadership for potable water, sanitary drainage, stormwater and rainwater harvesting.
• Act as lead hydraulic discipline engineer on major multidisciplinary projects with compliance to standards.
• Manage deliverables, resources, budgets and programmes to ensure successful outcomes.
• Mentor engineers, designers and graduates, promoting best engineering practice.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, civil and structural teams for integrated solutions.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
