Raytheon Australia is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to advance the Collins Class Submarine Combat System. You’ll drive design, integration and verification across the capability lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders and leading technical reviews.

With a focus on mentoring and technical excellence, you’ll support capability enhancements and introduce new technologies, while navigating travel as required in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with eligibility for Chartered Professional status and appropriate Design Authority delegation.
• 8+ years in Systems Engineering across multiple domains and lifecycle stages.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including customers, suppliers and leadership.
• Understanding of project delivery milestones and autonomous delivery capability.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Eligible for Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and implement product solutions for integration into the Collins Class Combat System.
• Lead and conduct product verification and validation activities in line with requirements.
• Generate and maintain design certification documentation.
• Provide engineering support to transition products into operational service.
• Perform risk analysis and plan verification/validation activities.
• Lead technical reviews across the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers in systems engineering practices.
