Telstra is seeking an Information & Cyber Security Principal Technology Leader in Melbourne. The role embeds a cross-business security leader to drive risk reduction and remediation across the organisation, focusing on learning from incidents and addressing security debt.

You will translate security risks and control failures into practical remediation plans, influencing executive decisions and ensuring accountability for security outcomes that strengthen resilience.

Responsibilities

• Drive remediation of significant security risks and incidents with clear ownership.
• Partner with Security Operations and Cyber Defence to translate learnings into improvements.
• Identify recurring issues and develop prevention initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration between business, engineering and security teams.
• Provide visibility of outstanding issues to executives and leadership.
• Promote a culture of continuous security improvement and resilience.
