Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer in Sydney to lead and deliver multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects across defence, transport, energy and land development. You will bring deep technical capability, steer design quality, and manage budgets and programmes.

Based in Sydney and working across NSW, you will mentor teams, build client relationships, and guide delivery from early engagement to completion with a focus on safe, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-graduate experience in civil and site infrastructure design.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary civil projects across defence, transport and land development.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders; ability to manage budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver civil infrastructure projects across defence, transport and land development.
• Oversee design elements: stormwater, earthworks, roads, utilities coordination.
• Maintain strong client relationships from early engagement through project delivery.
