Job summary

The Onset Group is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead and grow a specialist practice across AI Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Cloud, DevOps, SRE and Data/AI Platforms. You will work with senior Engineering and Infrastructure leaders to build a market across AI infrastructure in Australia.

You’ll develop strategic client relationships, drive contract and permanent recruitment growth, and be a trusted market specialist within a dynamic AI ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of 360 recruitment experience (ideally in Australia).
• Recruitment experience within Engineering or Technology.
• Strong business development and relationship management capability.
• Curiosity and interest in AI, infrastructure and modern platform environments.
• Strong communication and commercial capability.
• Ambition to build a high-performing specialist practice.

Responsibilities

• Build a specialist market across AI Infrastructure and Platform Engineering.
• Partner with CTOs, Heads of Platform, Infrastructure and Engineering leaders.
• Drive contract and permanent recruitment growth.
• Develop strategic account mapping and client expansion plans.
• Build deep talent networks across Cloud, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure and AI Platforms.
• Position yourself as a trusted market specialist within one of the fastest-growing technology sectors.
