ANZUK Executive, on behalf of Catholic Education South Australia, invites applications for Principal of St Joseph’s School, Peterborough. This is a faith-filled leadership role in a Reception to Year 9 setting where relationships and wellbeing matter.

The successful applicant will nurture Catholic identity, lead high-quality teaching, support staff, and engage families and parish in shaping a dynamic learning community with growth and strong connections.

Job description

ANZUK Executive is supporting Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) and the Diocese of Port Pirie in their search for the next Principal of St. Joseph's School, Peterborough.

This is an exciting opportunity for a faith-filled Catholic educator to lead a close-knit Reception to Year 9 school, where relationships matter, leadership is visible and the Principal has the opportunity to make a genuine difference to students, families and the wider community.

Whilst preference is for a commencement for 2027, an agreed start date of up to Term 2, 2027 can be negotiated.

About the School

St Joseph’s School is a co‑educational Reception to Year 9 Catholic school located in Peterborough, approximately 250kms north of Adelaide. Grounded in the spirituality and legacy of St Mary MacKillop and the Josephite tradition, the school provides a welcoming and personalised Catholic education where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

With current enrolments of approximately 73 students, St Joseph’s is a small and growing school with strong connections to families, parish and its local community. The school also works collaboratively with neighbouring Catholic Josephite schools across South Australia’s mid‑north.

This is a community with aspirations for continued growth, including further developing its Middle Years offering, strengthening contemporary learning opportunities and planning responsibly for future infrastructure and resources.
