Job summary

St Agatha's Primary School, Clayfield, invites applications for a maternity leave Primary Teacher (Job Share) for Terms 1 and 2, 2027. The 5-day fortnight role is a part-time, fixed-term contract offering 30 hours per fortnight across 3 days one week and 2 days the next, within a supportive Catholic school community.

You will deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum, foster student wellbeing, work with staff and families, and uphold Catholic values.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Australian Curriculum and effective pedagogy.
• Commitment to Catholic education and school values.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, learner-centred classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs and assess student progress.
• Work with leadership, colleagues, and families to support school culture and professional life.
• Engage in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
• Support pastoral care and the spiritual development of students.
• Uphold Catholic Church teachings as a foundation for learning.
