Job summary

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Orange, NSW, is seeking a Primary Classroom Teacher (K-6) for a permanent, full-time role commencing 28 January 2027. The school emphasises a values-driven, Catholic education and a supportive, learner-centred environment.

You will use inclusive teaching practices, analyse student data to inform instruction, collaborate with school leadership, and support co-curricular activities while upholding NSW/ACARA requirements.

Qualifications

• Holds tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
• Ability to monitor and use student data to inform teaching.
• Willingness to contribute to a broad range of school activities.
• Committed to Catholic education and school ethos.
• Ability to develop positive classroom relationships based on respect and patience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of NSW NESA and Australian Curriculum requirements for K-6.

Responsibilities

• Create a learner-centred, supportive learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
• Develop and implement quality curriculum programs and assess/report student progress.
• Use inclusive teaching strategies to ensure equitable education.
• Analyse student data to identify learning barriers and drive improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with school leadership and staff, and contribute to school life.
• Supervise students and assist with organizing extracurricular activities.
