Job summary

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Lithgow, part of the Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst, seeks a warm, dedicated Primary Classroom Teacher for K–6. This temporary full‑time role is 1.0 FTE, commencing Jan 2027 and concluding Jan 2028, with a strong emphasis on data-informed instruction, inclusive practice and collaboration within our faith‑based learning community.

Qualifications

• Hold NSW teaching accreditation and tertiary qualifications.
• Commit to continuous professional learning in a Catholic school context.
• Able to use student data to inform teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Create a learner-centred, supportive classroom aligned with curriculum policies.
• Develop and implement quality curriculum programs and assess student progress.
• Use inclusive teaching strategies to ensure equitable education.
• Analyse assessment data to identify learning barriers and support improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
• Collaborate with school leadership and staff, contributing to school life.
• Supervise students and assist with organising extracurricular activities.
