Job summary

Suncorp Group is seeking a skilled pricing analytics data scientist to develop pricing recommendations and deploy ML techniques to improve portfolio performance. You’ll analyse customer, market and competitor data, build models, and partner with stakeholders to translate insights into business actions.

Role requires Python or R, SQL, strong analytical ability, and knowledge of ML methods. Insurance experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in quantitative field (data science, statistics, actuarial, computer science, maths).
• Master’s/PhD desirable but not required.
• Experience with Python or R and SQL is essential.
• Knowledge of ML techniques and statistical modelling is needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing recommendations and proposals to support portfolio performance and objectives.
• Apply machine learning and advanced analytical techniques to improve pricing outcomes.
• Analyse customer, market and competitor data to provide actionable insights.
• Monitor portfolio and model performance.
• Partner with stakeholders to communicate insights.
• Contribute to data transformation initiatives.
