Europcar Mobility Group is seeking a Pricing Coordinator to join the Revenue Capacity Management team at our head office in Tullamarine, Victoria. The role focuses on monitoring rate activity, analysing price movements, and identifying revenue opportunities to maximise fleet utilisation.

You will report to the Pricing Manager AU/NZ and collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations on pricing strategies and campaigns, with hybrid work options and a supportive team culture.

Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Pricing Coordinator to join our Revenue Capacity Management (RCM) team on a full time basis at our head office in Tullamarine, Victoria. Reporting to the Pricing Manager AU/NZ, this role is accountable for comparing, monitoring and analysing rate activity and products amongst the major competitors and identify revenue enhancing opportunities, while achieving maximum utilisation of the fleet.

Some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide price comparison surveys between our major market competitors for domestic and international activity as per the rate shopping schedule / contractual requirements.
• Work with management to ensure maximum utilisation and minimum transfer / movement spend is achieved
• Analyse data on forward reservations and recommend pricing changes as per the pricing strategy, seasonal fleet trends / activity and market conditions.
• Provide weekly retail pricing summary to management
• Liaise with Sales / Marketing / Operations on general rate offerings and promotions / value price propositions
• Lead and manage special projects and initiatives to support the business as required
• Monitor specific account's pricing patterns and bookings made
• Analyse competitor's activities to ensure we are priced competitively
• Support with reviewing B2B pricing upon expiration

To be considered, you should possess:

• Experience in the car rental or travel industry highly advantageous
• Computer literacy, intermediate skills in Microsoft Word & Excel
• Sound numeracy skills and competent dealing with large data files
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail
• Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks and work within tight deadlines
• Ability to be assertive, proactive and innovative with all tasks

At the end of the 19th century, the car was a luxury reserved for the elite, but interested everyone, attracting crowds: in 1898, the first car show was held in Paris. Car rental will see the light a few years later, across the Atlantic, but its development will be stopped by the first and then by the Second World Wars. In the aftermath of the war, a Parisian entrepreneur revived the idea: "If you can't afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?" His name was Raoul-Louis Mattei and in 1949, it created "L'Abonnement Automobile": a company that would later become the Compagnie Internationale Europcars, then Europcar. Its headquarters, located 11 rue du Champ de Mars also included a rental agency. The company's success was rapid, as car rental responded to a real need. In 1951, l'Abonnement Automobile was the first company for car rental without a driver and its fleet counted 750 4 CV.
