Job summary

The Family Co. in Sydney is seeking a Prevention Education Project Officer to design, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education, prevention and community engagement initiatives that support safe, respectful and inclusive communities.

You will facilitate education sessions, create online learning content, build partnerships with schools and councils, and oversee the Game On for Change program in partnership with Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, including data collection and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in community services, education, social work, youth work, health promotion or related discipline.
• Experience designing, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating education sessions, workshops or campaigns.
• Understanding of prevention, community engagement, inclusion, child safety and strengths-based practice.
• Ability to build/maintain relationships with schools, councils, community organisations, partners, government agencies.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills for scheduling, registrations, logistics, reporting.
• Ability to collect feedback and evaluation data to inform delivery and reporting.
• High-level digital literacy and experience with Microsoft Office, online platforms, webinars/learning systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to represent The Family Co.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, facilitate and evaluate education sessions, prevention activities and community workshops.
• Design and develop educational online webinars and resources for inclusion on The Family Co.'s platform.
• Coordinate prevention campaigns and community engagement initiatives in response to identified community needs.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with schools, councils, community services and other partners.
• Coordinate and support delivery of the Game On for Change program, including baseline survey preparation and implementation, program content, delivery schedules, school liaison, registrations and logistics.
• Coordinate with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks regarding Game On for Change content and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate casual facilitators and support delivery planning for program activities.
• Collect, review and use program data, participant feedback and evaluation findings to inform program improvement and demonstrate outcomes.
• Support evaluation, reporting and participant feedback processes for Game On for Change and broader education and prevention activities.
• Contribute to reports, funding acquittals, partnership updates and internal documentation as required.

About you

• Demonstrated experience developing, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating education sessions, workshops, webinars, campaigns or community-based initiatives.
• Demonstrated understanding of prevention, community engagement, inclusion, child safety and strengths-based practice principles.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with schools, councils, community organisations, sporting partners, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to coordinate schedules, registrations, logistics, casual facilitators, documentation and reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to collect and use data, feedback and evaluation findings to inform program delivery, reporting and continuous improvement.
• High-level digital literacy, including experience using Microsoft Office applications, online platforms and webinar or learning systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent and promote The Family Co. to community members, schools and external stakeholders.
• Current NSW Driver Licence, Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain, and a valid Police Check.
