Job summary

Uniting Church in Australia, Presbytery of Southern SA, is seeking a part-time fixed-term leader to provide pastoral oversight, wellbeing and vocational development for ministry agents, and to support healthy relationships between ministers and their congregations.

The successful candidate will offer confidential counsel on pastoral responsibilities, ministerial wellbeing, supervision and ministry development, drawing on a strong spiritual walk and conflict-management skills within UCA processes

Qualifications

• Strong personal spiritual walk that informs ministry.
• Passionate about church mission and congregational life.
• High level of pastoral skills.
• Skilled in conflict management and resolution.
• Knowledge of UCA appointment processes (MOP, Placements, and Candidates).
• Understand various forms of pastoral and missional leadership.

Classification: Part Time Fixed Term

Description:

The position has a key leadership role in the pastoral oversight, well-being and vocational development of ministry agents, and in supporting healthy relationships between ministers and their congregations within the presbytery.

The scope of its work includes being available to ministry agents who need counsel related to their pastoral responsibilities, well-being in ministry, supervision, and ministry development.

• have a high level of demonstrated pastoral skills
