Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education Office in Brisbane is seeking a School Officer (Classroom Support Prep) at Saints Peter and Paul’s School, Bulimba, for the 2027 school year. The role supports Prep classrooms, helping teachers create engaging learning experiences and build confidence in our youngest students.

The position is term-time, fixed-term, with a 25-hour week in Term 1 and 22.5 hours per week in Terms 2–4. Eligibility to work in Australia and a Blue Card are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Education Support required or equivalent.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Blue Card/Positive Notice required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of learning programs using technology and learning support activities.
• Monitor student progress and identify learning needs to provide evidence-based interventions.
• Support students with diverse learning needs to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with school specialists to coordinate intervention groups.
• Document observations, intervention programs and classroom materials.
• Roster: 25hrs/week in Term 1, 22.5hrs/week in Terms 2–4.
