Formline Group is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Australia to own the front-end process, applying commercial discipline, technical clarity and strong program control before projects reach site.

You will collaborate with design, estimating, sales and delivery teams to ensure projects are properly scoped, costed and buildable, aligned to budget and client expectations, while clearly communicating methodology and managing risks.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating or construction management with a commercial builder or head contractor.
• Deep knowledge of construction methodology, structure, services, trade sequencing and compliance.
• Able to read a full set of documents and identify missing, vague or over-designed items.
• Track record of accurate estimates and cost plans that held up through delivery.
• Commercially aware; can justify subcontractor pricing with evidence.

Aufgaben

• Own the preconstruction process from opportunity through to contract and handover to delivery.
• Coordinate design with architects, engineers and consultants; challenge where cost/complexity increases.
• Carry out site audits and ensure cost plans are accurate and complete; price gaps and risks.
• Set the program and manage the critical path; ensure delivery teams meet deadlines.
• Present cost, scope and risk to clients and obtain decisions; provide input for proposals and tenders.
• Lead procurement and trade letting alongside the Contracts Administrator; level quotes and select subs.
• Support head contract and subcontract terms; flag commercial risk early.
