Job summary

Stug Australia in Melbourne is seeking a CNC Router Setter/Operator to read engineering drawings, set up and run CNC routers, and produce parts to QA standards. You will read metric and imperial measurements, plan jobs to minimize waste, and maintain safe, clean work areas.

Work with plastics and metals, demonstrate reliability and punctuality, and contribute to productivity with minimal supervision as part of a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Job description

Work consistently to manufacture parts on time and with a high standard of finish and accuracy.

Check all work at every stage of production to ensure parts are made correctly to QA standards.

Focus on maintaining and/or improving productivity and efficiency.

Actively assess quality control procedures with a view to reducing errors and rejected parts.

Plan jobs so that materials are used efficiently and with minimal waste.

Keep machines and work areas clean and well maintained.

Check stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; submitting material requisitions.

Other responsibilities as required by management.
