Job summary

AVT Australia, a CACI company, specialises in design and production of lightweight camera gimbal systems and supplies to defence and commercial applications. Our production team focuses on precise component movement from receiving through production and dispatch.

We are hiring for a stocks and stores role on site in Melbourne, requiring experience in stores, ERP/MRP systems, and strict attention to detail with small parts.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, material handling, inventory control or manufacturing support.
• Strong attention to detail with small parts, part numbers, quantities and records.
• Ability to read purchase orders, pick lists, work orders and bills of material.
• Confidence using inventory or ERP/MRP systems and standard office software.
• A practical, safety-focused approach and the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience in electronics, defence, aerospace, medical devices, photonics or another regulated manufacturing environment; knowledge of ESD, moisture-sensitive devices, lot or serial control; relevant forklift, dangerous-goods, quality or inventory training.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, verify quantities and documentation, and record transactions in the ERP/MRP system.
• Store and protect precision-machined, electro-optical and electronic components while maintaining full traceability.
• Pick and prepare production kits against bills of material, work orders and current revisions.
• Process issues, returns, transfers, subcontract movements, stock counts and dispatches accurately.
• Maintain orderly, safe and audit-ready stores, including ESD, moisture, shelf-life and quarantine controls.
• Identify shortages, discrepancies and improvement opportunities, and communicate them early.
