Job summary

Preston Toyota in Melbourne's automotive group is seeking an experienced Body Shop Assembler / Panel Beater to restore vehicles to manufacturer standards, disassemble and reassemble for repairs, and ensure quality workmanship within a collaborative team.

You will work in a modern collision repair centre with training, career progression, and a supportive environment. Trade qualifications in Automotive Body Repair and a valid Australian driver’s licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Panel Beater or Vehicle Assembler in a collision repair environment.
• Trade qualifications in Automotive Body Repair Technology preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle construction and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for repair.
• Repair or replace damaged panels and components.
• Align panels, trims, mouldings and accessories to spec.
• Assess repair requirements and identify additional damage.
• Collaborate with Estimators, Spray Painters and other technicians.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the repair process.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
