Qualifications

• Proven experience as fitter, machinist or bench technician in a manufacturing/engineering workshop environment.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of workshop safety practices and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision bench fitting including filing, drilling and grinding.
• Test and inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specs.
• Maintain and calibrate workshop tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify solutions.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with safety regulations.
• Document completed work and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.
