The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage in Perth is seeking an experienced urban planner for the SCL4 Planning Manager, Metro Central – Precincts. This permanent full-time role guides and delivers the State government’s vision for planning and precinct development.

You will lead a growing team implementing and administering improvement schemes under the Precincts WA initiative across the Perth metro area, ensuring vibrant, well-connected and sustainable precincts with housing close to

Qualifications

• Degree in Urban and Regional Studies, Planning or Development or an approved equivalent relevant to planning.
• Highly developed knowledge of Western Australia’s planning legislation, policy and approval processes.
• Substantial experience in land use planning and delivering statutory and strategic planning work.
• Proven ability to lead management and assessment of complex planning proposals and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
