Role Summary

Lead the VLF Power Production team in Exmouth, overseeing the 24/7 operation, maintenance, and repair of the VLF power plant and associated systems to ensure safe, reliable power generation for national security missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing team, fostering a safety culture and developing team capability.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of the VLF power plant and associated equipment.
• Ensure reliable, safe 24/7 power and utility service delivery to the site.
• Manage planning, scheduling, testing and performance of power generation systems.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrotechnology – Electrician, Diploma in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, or equivalent.
• Diploma in Leadership & Management, or equivalent (preferred).
• Current C‑Class driver’s licence.
• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience leading teams, including work scheduling, coaching and operational execution.
• Demonstrated experience with maintenance planning, scheduling and asset management practices.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting1 (NV1) Security clearance as needed.
