Magna Systems and Engineering in Chatswood NSW 2067 is seeking a Pre Sales & Support Engineer (Broadcast) to join our growing team. You will work at the technical bridge between sales and operations, delivering pre-sales guidance and post-sales support for broadcast infrastructure projects.

You will assess client requirements, design tailored solutions, create proposals and documentation, and assist with product demonstrations while collaborating with the sales team and installation staff.

Qualifications

• Three plus years proven experience in broadcast engineering, network engineering or related technical support roles.
• Strong understanding of broadcast infrastructure, transmission systems and network architecture.
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols, IP-based broadcast solutions and audio/video standards.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-sales technical support or solution design.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Magna Systems and Engineering is seeking a Pre Sales & Support Engineer (Broadcast) to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Chatswood NSW 2067. In this role, you will be responsible for our technical support operations, providing expert guidance to clients during the pre-sales phase and delivering after sales technical support throughout their journey with us. You will work closely with our sales team and clients to understand their broadcast infrastructure requirements, design tailored solutions, and ensure seamless implementation. This position is crucial to our success in the broadcast engineering sector, serving as the technical bridge between sales and operations team.

Key responsibilities

Engage with prospective clients to understand their broadcast infrastructure and technical requirements

Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for broadcast systems and network solutions

Working alongside the Solutions Architect to design broadcast engineering solutions that align with client objectives and budgets

Prepare detailed technical documentation, system specifications and proposals for pre-sales activities

Provide technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities to showcase product capabilities

Support the sales team throughout the sales cycle with technical expertise and client presentations

Deliver post-sales technical support and troubleshooting for broadcast systems and network infrastructure

Document technical issues, resolutions and best practices to support continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

Three plus years proven experience in broadcast engineering, network engineering or related technical support roles

Strong understanding of broadcast infrastructure, transmission systems and network architecture

Solid knowledge of networking protocols, IP-based broadcast solutions and audio/video standards

Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills

Demonstrated experience in pre-sales technical support or solution design

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience in client-facing roles and building professional relationships

Relevant technical certifications (such as Cisco CCNA, broadcast engineering qualifications, or similar) would be advantageous

Proficiency with broadcast software, hardware platforms and network management tools

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Project management and organizational skills
