Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is seeking experienced Pre-Delivery Technicians/Accessory Fitters to support our Unanderra PDI facility. You will assemble and prepare forklifts for delivery, perform inspections, install customer options, and ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in forklift, automotive or diesel mechanics.
• Ability to read service manuals and assembly instructions.
• Experience in forklift industry or related field preferred.

Pre-Delivery Technician/Mechanic (Forklifts)

Supporting our Unanderra PDI facility, we are seeking experienced Pre-Delivery Technicians/Accessory Fitters to join our team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assemble and prepare new Toyota forklifts and material handling equipment for delivery.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections and quality checks
• Install accessories and customer-specific options
• Complete mechanical, electrical and safety inspections
• Test operate equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Complete PDI documentation and workshop records
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation and workplace safety
• Work collaboratively with service, sales and operations teams to meet delivery deadlines

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:

• Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic). Would consider mechanically motivated person.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and assembly instructions
• Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry (desired.)

Can Demonstrate:

• Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
• Knowledge and experience as a Pre-Delivery Technician/Accessory Fitter
• Good time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Previous experience in a similar role in an associated industry.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
