Job summary

Greenline Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to own projects through pre-construction, coordinating scope, design, costing and constructability to set up successful delivery.

You will work with clients and internal/external teams, identify risks early, develop practical solutions and hand over to Project Delivery. Travel interstate as required and join a high-performing, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pre-construction, estimating and project management.
• Ability to coordinate design and costing with buildability considerations.
• Strong commercial acumen balancing cost, quality, risk and client outcomes.
• Experience developing scopes, budgets or cost plans and identifying risks early.
• Attention to detail and ability to translate technical information into clear requirements.

• Prepare and manage project cost plans and budgets from concept through to engineering.
• Coordinate design, engineering and consultant inputs to achieve constructible project documentation.
• Identify and manage project risks, constraints and scope or cost changes early.
• Attend site visits to assess feasibility, site conditions and project requirements.
• Work with Sales to develop proposals, value-engineered solutions and design alternatives.
• Manage pre-construction milestones and keep clients and internal teams informed of progress, changes and risks.
• Provide a complete, well-coordinated handover to the Project Delivery team.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to take ownership of projects through the pre-construction phase and set them up for successful delivery.

You’ll bring together scope, design, costing and constructability, working closely with clients and internal and external teams to identify risks early, develop practical solutions and deliver commercially sound, buildable projects.

What You'll Bring

• Strong experience in pre-construction, estimating, project management, design coordination or a similar construction role.
• A strong understanding of construction methodology, buildability, project costing and the interaction between design and delivery.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to balance cost, quality, risk and client outcomes.
• Experience developing scopes, budgets or cost plans and identifying project risks early.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work through technical information and turn it into clear, practical project requirements.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, engineers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong planning, time management and practical problem-solving skills.
• A self-managed approach with the confidence to take ownership and keep projects moving.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced team members would be well regarded.

The Way We Work

Being connected to our projects and team is important. Travel is an important part of the role. You'll visit interstate project sites as required and attend quarterly team days at our Wagga Wagga Head Office. Your initial onboarding will also include approximately two weeks with our Wagga Wagga team.
