Job summary

Double Bay Doctors in Double Bay, NSW, seeks a Practice Nurse for a casual or part-time position (2–3 days per week). You will join a small, supportive team that values growth and provides on-the-job training and subsidised courses.

The role offers variety across immunisations, wound care, spirometry, travel vaccines, and chronic disease management. You’ll handle recalls, maintain precise clinical documentation, and work closely with GP and admin staff to ensure smooth day-to-day care.

The details:

Pay: $42–$50 p/h (dependent on experience)

Hours: 2–3 days per week, casual or part-time - let us know what suits you

Start date: Flexible, with onboarding required before November 9th

Team size: You'll join 18 GPs and work closely with 1 other nurse daily

Day to day, you'll be:

• Performing general practice nursing duties including childhood immunisations, travel vaccines, wound care, spirometry, and assisting with clinical procedures
• Managing patient recalls and results in line with practice protocols
• Keeping clinical documentation and electronic communication systems accurate and current
• Working closely with our clinical and admin teams to keep the day running smoothly
• Contributing to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
• Helping keep the nurse room organised, stocked and patient-ready

What we're looking for:

• Current AHPRA registration (RN)
• Strong communicator, well organised, and comfortable picking up new systems
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• A genuine interest in patient care
• Previous general practice experience is a bonus, not a requirement — we're just as keen to help a nurse grow into this specialty with proper support.

One thing to flag:

Because we invest heavily in training you into our systems and protocols, we're looking for someone who can commit to at least 12 months with us. We know that's a real ask, and we only make it because we want to give you a proper, in‑depth induction rather than a rushed one.
