Job summary

City Heart Medical in Rockhampton welcomes applications from ENs and RNs with AHPRA registration to join a dedicated team. You will work with nurses, staff and doctors to deliver high‑quality patient care in a friendly, family‑oriented practice.

The role supports both autonomous and team‑based care across General Practice services. The position involves immunisations, wound care, infection control, and tasks such as chronic condition management and health assessments.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration is required to practice in Australia.
• GP clinic experience is highly desirable.
• CPR certificate must be current or renewed shortly.

Responsibilities

• Immunisations: childhood, employment, travel, and COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Wound care and sterile technique.
• Infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Diagnostics for Employment and Aviation Medicals.
• Cold chain management and vaccine handling.

About the role

City Heart Medical is currently looking for a qualified EN or RN to work with our dedicated team of nurses, staff, and doctor"s providing the highest quality care.

In this role, you will be expected to work both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver great patient care. Duties will include all aspects of General Practice nursing including (but not limited to):

• Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
• Immunisations: including childhood, employment, travel, and COVID-19 vaccinations
• Wound care
• Sterilisation and infection control implementation
• Diagnostics required for Employment and Aviation Medicals
• Cold Chain management.

What we're Looking For:

• You're a nurse with AHPRA registration and full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
• You’re passionate about patient care
• You are available to be rostered between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday - some flexibility can be accommodated
• Ideally have GP nursing experience
• You have experience working with GP Chronic Condition Management Plans and Health Assessments
• You hold a current CPR certificate - although assistance can be offered here if it has recently expired.

Previous experience working within a GP clinic would be highly desirable. Remuneration will be based on experience.
