Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, caring and patient-focused approach.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Current immunisation qualifications or willingness to undertake relevant training.
• Previous general practice experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Immunisations and vaccinations.
• Wound care and dressings.
• Chronic disease management and care planning.
• Health assessments and preventative health care.
• ECGs, observations and other clinical procedures.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Newport Family Doctors is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our busy and welcoming general practice.

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and reliable nurse who enjoys working in a team environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role

Working alongside our General Practitioners and supportive administration team, you will play an important role in providing comprehensive nursing care to our patients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Immunisations and vaccinations
• Wound care and dressings
• Chronic disease management and care planning
• Health assessments and preventative health care
• ECGs, observations and other clinical procedures
• Infection prevention and control
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Assisting GPs with minor procedures
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the treatment room

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, caring and patient-focused approach
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Current immunisation qualifications or willingness to undertake relevant training

Previous general practice experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from nurses who are enthusiastic about developing their skills in primary health care.
