The Role
Our new Practice Manager will:
- Manage day to day operations and ensure the successful and effective running of the practice.
- Prioritise communication, efficiency and accountability.
- Inspire the team in providing the highest quality care to the community.

- Harness the potential of this well-established GP clinic and drive future growth.
This will ideally suit an experienced Practice Manager looking for a new opportunity/or an experienced Medical Administrator/2IC looking to take the next step. Based wholly on site, the role is offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis and is available for an immediate start.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Manage the reception team workflow, lead and support them to manage patient appointments, greet clients, take re-bookings and payments.
- Appointment scheduling.
- Billing procedures.
- Debt Collections.
- Maintenance and security.
- Privacy and quality controls of patient files and notes.
- Engagement and management of third parties.
- Support Management team with reporting and ad hoc tasks.
- Create and support a harmonious, cheerful and engaging practice environment.
- Ensure all staff, patients and visitors follow Covid-19 health regulations.
- Provide support and assistance to practitioners with:
- Diary changes and client management.
- Manage client waitlists.
- Telehealth appointments and platforms.
- Ensure treatment rooms are full equipped daily.
- Manage all nursing support and workflows.
- Maintaining and ensuring accreditation standards.
Requirements:The successful applicant will have:
- Prior experience in medical practice management (essential).
- Occ Health experience - highly desirable
- Demonstrated people management skills and experience with recruitment and staff training and development.
- A thorough understanding of financial management of a medical business, including Medicare rebates.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
- A confident and professional approach to dealing with matters as they arise.
- Experience of Practice Accreditation.
- Ability to identify marketing and promotional ideas to enhance the service provided to patients.
- Knowledge of Best Practice would be advantageous.
