The Account Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out activities to assist the team, helping local and global clients achieve their communication goals by delivering the highest quality of work and outstanding results.

The key purpose of the position is to assist in the day-to-day administration of public relations and communication initiatives to support client activities. This includes maintaining strong awareness of client activity, delivering detail-focused program and project management, and ensuring clear, professional communication as needed.

What you’ll do:

  • Facilitate administrative duties including weekly status reports, key action reports, project documentation, and archives of past project information as appropriate
  • Manage project timelines and delivery of work across all assigned projects / deliverables
  • Creation of briefs (design, production, and feedback) for assigned projects / deliverables
  • Gain familiarity with the client’s industry, products, business culture and competition
  • Support the Account Team with metrics and program performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and to integrate into future initiatives
  • Assist team members in the desk research and formatting for new business pitches
  • Build strong and successful working relationships with your team, other internal teams, vendors and clients
  • Assist with media relations including; media pitches, media briefs, research, track media coverage and deliver to clients in a timely manner
  • Track public opinion on issues important to the client to help develop strategies
  • Conduct market research to identify potential partners and opportunities for growth within the industry
  • Prepare briefing materials for meetings with journalists and other public relations professionals
  • Assist with the development of communication tactics by building, managing, and maintaining media lists for clients across industries
  • Develop media materials and written content, such as newsletters, blog posts, press releases, social media posts, fact sheets, or media alerts
  • Monitor media coverage and communicate results
  • Assist with event management and logistics including developing any marketing material required

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Arts, Business or a related discipline
  • 6 months – 1 year of industry experience or 1-2 internship placements is highly regarded
  • An understanding of the role of the media
  • Ability to work across a number of projects with good time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support our consultants with administrative tasks
  • Ability to format presentations and organise client materials with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate with consultants, suppliers and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Possess exceptional communications skills
  • Strong presentation and writing skills
